With the fast development of sensor technology , endless appearance of MCPU , improvement on the integrated level and function of single chip microprocessor and decreasing in the price , all these make it possible to make up a intelligent testing system with MCPU . But the cost of the testing system limit the further intelligent development, and "A/D convert " is the key part of this system . In order to solve this conflict problem this paper gives a method - by adding a few components to AT89C2051 , and using it's internal converter we have designed a A/D module with the function of microprocessor . The A/D module's success makes the situation of rare application of high-costs data acquisition device no longer exists . The advantage of this A/D module is that it not only makes full use of the hardware potential of 2051 , but also solves the problem of slope-compare A/D'S series mode interference by software filter , which has exhausted many designers for long time . In this paper we clarified the A/D module by giving an example of it's application at long distance temperature sensor testing .Through the analysis and experiment on 2051 , and with the help of Master-Slave communication technology we also designed a method - by adding the number of slave microprocessor to realize extending 2051's ROM and RAM, to solve the limitation of 2051 's capacity . By applying this method to the looking up of large Pressure Sensor WPS-l's calibrated table we formed a table's "detached-chip look up" method . And this method also put forward a new idea of large program's storage at single chip microprocessor .With conforming to the need of sensor's intelligence and network development , and through the method of serial communication this project formed a MCPU smart testing system with serial function modules made by 2051. In this system each module has the function of microprocessor and connects with others by communication . By the friendly person - computer interface programmed with VC++6.0 we realized a visualized control of this smart testing system . With the help of powerful internet technology we also achieved long distance transmission and share of sensor's processed data by the FrontPage2000 .This project makes a attempt at integrating the computer technology , Internet technology communication technology and sensor technology into one , and has a practical and further meaning.
