Synchronization Technique Of OFDM Signals For High-rate Wireless LAN

Firstly, this paper presents the principle of multi-carrier modulation technique -OFDM-applying to high bit rate transmission. The emphases is focused on the synchronization in OFDM technique. Then, the general scheme of synchronization is discussed . Based on the computer simulation, the disadvantage of the general algorithm is analyzed and the improved algorithm of symbol timing estimation and frequency offset estimation is proposed. Finally, the application of OFDM to Wide Wireless data transmission and Wireless Local Area Network is introduced.
