WGJ serial PC-controlling tensile testing machines are one of the primary products of XiuFeng Electric Instrument Factory of GuangXi Normal University. Combining engineering, optics, electric and air as a whole, this set of hi-tech measuring facilities is capable of testing many kinds of industrial products, At present, the facility is being applied extensively in scientific research units and quality-checking departments involving rubber, textile, plastics and cable etc . However, the controlling software system, employed by this facility at present, is still a DOS-based system which the factory developed many years ago. It is inclined to show more and more deficiency and defects, such as simple interface, limited function, complicated operation. Especially after the popularization of Windows OS, the users eagerly for the manufacturer to develop a new set of windows95/98-based software with more powerful functions to facilitate the users.To meet with the social demand, I took the project to develop a set of controlling software system of WGJ serial PC-controlling tensile testing machines based on Windows95/98.Much improvement has been made in the original system with support of the new system. That can be show as follows:(i). The substitution of the Windows graphic interface for former DOS interface enables the user to operate more directly and more easily, meanwhile enhances the function of PC .(ii) The Substitute of multi-thread technique for originally single-thread one, particularly the use of sole thread to test hardware and date and figure disposing background makes the compute worked more efficiently and reliably.(iii) The DataBase's code-created automatically make the data administrate easily.(iv) Accessing hardware with Device Driver.(v) The using of the active report made the user to work easily and flexibly. For instance, the user could chose to insert a original data and testing graph into reporter (the graph could be a single-line or multi-line graph).(vi) Provide, to some extent, the powerful function of data disposing and graph processing.(vii) Provide flexibly configuring function for different hardware and different test request.(viii) Provided more protection for machine etc.The key techniques in developing this software system include such parts as the equipment's auto-check, communication and synchronism among threads, database and report auto-creating and development of Device Driver etc. As the result, my thesis would primarily discuss some available methods to be implemented on testing the industrial control based on Windows95/98 Operating System, and also Device Driver development based on WinDriver Device Driver development kit got from KRFTech. At the same time I also made a tentative discussion on the development of WDM-2-Device Driver. Using the advanced technique above, the software system will work more safely and intelligently, and had a high appraised of manufacturer .The Computer-control technique, nowadays based on mature cybernetics, previously was mainly built on Dos Operating System. And the advanced pans of it based on windows95/98 just get developed in recent years . There are stiil many premature technology in quite a few aspects and it needs to be developed constantly. Because there is very few the material of the computer-controlling technology based on Windows95/98 and more less material of the industry-controlling based on the Delphi, the concerning techniques discussed in my thesis only the result of my development and exploration and It should be improved further in the future...
