Research Of Assemble Template And Combination Algorithm For The CAD System Of Press Tool

A brief account of the technological development of CAD! CAM in dies and moulds at home and abroad is given in this article. The keys of the technology are to make design process standardized, to get reliable algorithm of different design methods and to work out rational data structure. This dissertation also analyzes the features of the practical CAD system for tooling.The conceptual design of products and the realization of CIM and CE need the support of the integrated product information model(IPIM). The assembly based approach to IPIM is believed to be more effective than the part oriented one. In this dissertation, an assembly based press tool product information model is proposed. The model describes the feature aspect as well as the assembly aspect of product. The representation scheme of product information mentioned above is an efficient way to create the integrated product model. Assembly planning is very important and complex in mechanical assembly design and assembly automation. After analyzing of current assembly models, this dissertation discuss concept of subassembly. A method of assembly sequence generation for press tool is given.The CAD system based on template is a sort of bran-new method and technique in CAD field. It抯 definition is based on the requirement and characteristic of different application field, adopting all kinds of means for knowledge acquisition and representation neatly , and is very seasoned with the thinking mode of engineer. The CAD method based on template integrated with the assemble-oriented means owns both merit. In the dissertation, the concept of the press tool template is given in the way of formalization. The template is applied in the development of the CAD system of press tool. The implement of the system is discussed also.Template description language is oriented different application field and is based on template. It is a sort of knowledge acquisition and representation language. In the dissertation, the template design language system is proposed and defined, based on the technique of parameter, feature and assemble. It denote the constraint term and design regulation of press tool by rule and line.Template combination is a new-style design thought. It can make the best of known design production , produce new design project with the means of knowledge reasoning and largely improve the design efficiency. In the dissertation, two kinds of template combination algorithm is proposed.
