Synthetic aperture radar (SAR) imaging technique is related with electronic engineering, computer science and digital signal processing. The appearing and development of SAR enlarge the traditional radars?application. With the development of SAR imaging technique and the improvement of SAR imaging quality, high range and azimuth resolution has come true. As a result, SAR has been an important tool for scientific research and remote sensing. It will take on a supreme future in both military and civil.This dissertation is based on 損roject JB5? about space-borne SAR processing system. The specific task to us is to study the way to make SAR imaging and processing highly effective. The achievements of the research are favorable to scientific and military applications, and also lay the foundation for SAR processing stations. The dissertation will also help to the signal processing in all kinds of SAR platform.The main content of this dissertation can be concluded as following:a)On the base on discussion of SAR high resolution and theoretical imaging model, SAR signal processing is analyzed in detail. Range immigration and estimation of Doppler parameters are also involved during discussing space-borne SAR imaging and processing. A good result is obtained in the course of processing SEASAT and X-SAR raw data.b)In accordance with the requirement of SAR imaging, we investigate the characters of SAR raw data and have a simulation so as to provide point-target data for imaging.c)The main SAR quality indexes are studied in the dissertation in order to analyze the imaging results and SAR systemic performances.d)With the requirement of the project, we make a detailed research of SAR imaging algorithm such as range-doppler algorithm, secondaryrange compress algorithm and chirp scaling algorithm. We have many experiments about space-borne SAR imaging. Some good imaging results and indexes are obtained.In brief, the dissertation about SAR imaging will be favorable to SAR post-processing such as speckle induction, interferometric SAR imaging, target detecting and so on.
