In this paper, we studied the thermal properties of a military rugged computer and improved the formerly built model according to the characteristics of this computer. Based on the theory of finite difference, we developed a numerical analysis software package of temperature field and fluid field, both 2-D and 3-D. This software package has easy-to-use interface and powerful database management tools. We can conclude from experiments and numerical comparisons that this software package can provide timesaving and accurate thermal analysis for electronic equipment. Comparing with such software packages abroad, this one simplifies the modeling process and compresses the calculating time, but has the same accuracy.
