The Smart Antenna System (SAS) has been the focuses in signal processing andcommunication field, which smart multi-beam antenna is formed by means of antennaarray embedded by signal processing technology. And SAS has been one of the keytechnologies of the Third Generation Mobile Communication Systems. In thisdissertation, space-time 2D RAKE receiver and algorithm of Zoltowski are studied: a2D RAKE receiver for a direct-sequence spread spectrum communications system is aspace-time processor that cancels strong multi-user access interference while optimallycombining multipath for desired user. A reduced dimension blind space-time 2DRAKE receiver is presented based on a novel frequency domain implementation of aRAKE receiver and a data adaptive transformation to a lower dimension beamspacethat contains most of the desired user's energy. It proposes a novel self-decorralatingtechnique for a maximumè…ŸINR conventional single-user detector in the blind space-time RAKE receiver structure that exploits the fact that the multipath delay spreadtypically is much smaller than the information symbol duration. In the end of thisdissertation, the method of generating DS-CDMA signal is introduced.
