Response nonuniformity, low output signal-to-noise ratio, many invalided points (including blinding points and penetrating point) are three problems in the Infrared Focal Plane Arrays. In order to solve them, the algorithms of nonuniformity correction, image enhancement and defect automatic searching, compensation are studied. And a relevant software system is developed. A real-time signal processing system is designed for the Infrared Focal Plane Arrays signals (128 liner plane, 64 focal plane, 128 focal plane), including camera driving subsystem, high accuracy data acquisition subsystem, DSP digital signal processing subsystem, video display subsystem, developing tool subsystem, console subsystem. Its core is DSP subsystem. The two DSP chips are based on streamline hierarchy and have powerful data processing capacity. One is for the Infrared Focal Plane Arrays Signal nonuniformity correction; the other is for real-time image enhancement and defect automatic searching, compensation. Personal computer is used as a development tool. System has been tested successfully. The result shows that the performance of the system has achieved the desired result.
