The Study On The Algorithms Of Matching Of Color Content Based Image Retrieval And The Development Of Retrieval System

On the base of widely referring to the material about Content Based Image Retrieval (CBIR) of home and abroad, matching algorithms of image likeness and the condition of image retrieval technical based on the Content was analyzed and discussed in this paper.Within the image retrieval based on the content, the color, being an important vision information of image, have been used broadly. This paper have discussed three key questions on how to make use of the characteristic of color, which include expressing color, obtaining the characteristic of color and measuring the likeness based on color.Aimed at static image retrieval based color histogram, an algorithm of image retrieval method based on color apperception is presented in this article. To show color characteristic of image, the method of the HSV color space, which is suitable to the visual characteristic of human, is utilized. Taking advance of human抯 feeling to color, it quantifies color sector with unequal interval, and get characteristic vector. Finally, it matches the similarity of image with the algorithm of the histogram intersection. Users can express their searching demand through the example mode.Through the contrast between two algorithms, that one is the color histogram intersection algorithm which is based on the RGB color model and the other is improve matching algorithm based on color sector of the HSV color space, the result indicates that the retrieval efficiency of the later algorithm is better than the first. At he same time (Simultaneity) the system tests two algorithms between quantifies color sector with unequal interval and equal interval, as the result of retrieval, the first algorithm is better than the later.In the Windows98/NT environment, the image retrieval demo system, which is based on the image color characteristic, are implemented with Visual C?6.O, MFC and other Foundation Class.
