Distributed Management Information System Based On Campus Network

Concerning the current distributed database and its application architecture, the paper, first of all, explores the feasibility of setting up distributed database, analyses the architecture and the function of MIS (Management Information System) in ZhejiangWanli University and advances an overall plan of establishing distributed MIS on the basis of campus network. Secondly, the paper studies how to make Wanli MIS platform by combining Brower/Server and ClientlServer, especially dwells on the distributed database structure and data distribution strategy of Wanli MIS. Being concerned with the relationship between the primary database and secondary databases of distributed database and the method of its establishment, the paper also attaches great importance to the key technology of distributed database, that is, the coherence, the parallel and security of database. Finally, as to the secondary management system of Computer Science Department in Wanli University, the thesis expounds the exploitation of its database application program as well as the concrete realization of various functional modules, and advance the program of the Internet application of Wanli MIS.
