The study of this paper is derived from military develop project: Ultrashort fast frequency hopping transceiver. The paper mainly deals with the realization of software and hardware of Secret Key Gun, theoretical research on frequency hopping encrypt algorithm and engineering realization of frequency hopping encrypt ASIC, of which the study and realization of frequency hopping encrypt algorithm is the key part.As one of the three key technology of frequency hopping communication system, there already have been some theorem, formula and algorithm in the field of theoretical research on hopping patterns. But most of these are based on the theory of finite domain and have the limits of low complexity, hard realization in engineering and bad cyclicity. Therefore, we are making our effort to find a new guideline of thoughts and break through the theory limit in being. Then we present a series generation of frequency hopping sequences based on iterated block ciphers and thus overcome the weakness of algorithms available. By computer simulation, we got an ideal result on the performance of security, randomness, regularity, cyclicity, and frequencies collision of the hopping sequences generated. Afterward, we develop the frequency hopping encrypt ASIC with VHDL language. The realized FPGA chip can meet the fast frequency hopping needs at all and has the advantages of stable performance, fast calculation, great degree of redundancy, etc. Accordingly, it enhanced the performance of transceiver, improved the capability of anti interference and contributed to our military communication technologies, so it possesses great practical value.
