A CORBA Application In Romote Monitoring

CORBA is an important industry standard of Distributed Object Management Group.As an enviroment and platform for developing and running of heterogeous distributed system ,it has gained extensive application in many fields.With the development of Computer technology,more and more fields need to achieve automatization,for example the laboratory without man in the telecommunication office,the transformer substations etc,the characteristics of these running parts are their wide and remote locating.So automatic manager and monitor are needed,but it is impossible to throw away the previous systems,for which there maybe different platform and different environment or software.Jf you want to achieve automatic manager and monitor you will need to resolve the problem of the communication between different platforms.In this paper we introduce the basic Principle of CORBA and the Architecture of ORB.In the last part,we integrate it to an example to introduce the application,principle and method of CORBA-based remote monitoring In this paper,the Principle framework of a remote monitoring system was constructed.we implemented the interface with CORBA,including the warning information of the remote equipment ,querying and controling the remote equipment.
