| The sizes of 3-D object contour are important in the fast manufacturing. How to get the contour size and the surface shape information of object has become a difficult problem in the inverse engineering. In order to resolve it, a measuring and reconstructing system based on the computer vision theory is developed. The measurement is used by structure light method with a rotating table. Programs made by Visual C++ 6.0 under Windows 98 use for all processes on measurement and reconstruction. The data measured by the system can not only give 3-D coordinates but also realize 3-D visualization of data reconstructed by OpenGL. The system is simple in the structure and operation. Its cost is low and with friendly interface to the user.
