Majority of local primary and secondary schools have been seriously damaged in 5.12 Wenchuan earthquakes. Currently, the reconstruction work is intensively carried out in full speed. And the focus of the reconstruction work have shifted from the residents building house to education, health care, cultural and other public facilities, especially the reconstruction of primary and secondary schools which has been the focus of media attention. In this research, we have investigated the Wenchuan NO.1 and NO.2 middle school. Based on the materials of questionnaire and semi-structured interviews in these two Middle schools, we have conducted intensive investigation and analysis to the conflict between teachers and students. And the results are indicated that the features of the teacher-student conflict are as the following: 1.The conflict between boys and teachers are greater probability than those between girls and teachers, 2. Young teachers are more easily in conflict with students than older teachers, 3.Head teachers are greater chance in conflict with students than non-head teachers and 4.The ethnic differences are not significant in the conflict between students and teachers. Then the research examined the cultural roots of conflict through the following aspects: the cultural difference between teachers and students, social transformation and the internal contradictions of culture. And a further analysis has been carried out to the un-ignorable factors such as family, school, social and other factors in the process of the conflict between teachers and students. Finally, through further in-depth analysis and based on cultural perspectives, we have made several suggestions and responses that can reduce and optimize the conflict between teachers and students. And we anticipated that our suggestions can improve the teacher-student relationship to more harmonious and happy in disaster reconstruction schools.
