The paper studies the relationship between the "popularity" and " enhancement" of Volleyball based on theoretical and data analysis. The data are gathered from questionares and the interviews done among representative groups: such as athletes, coaches, administrators, students and volleyball sports lovers from certain districts. The research methods employed here are empirical study , both qulitatively and quatitativelyThe paper presents concept, structure and analytical framework of dialectical relationship between the "popularity" and " enhancement" of Volleyball , along with the idea of"dialectic doctrine on popularity and enhancement".We believe that "popularity" and " enhancement" should be interdependent. Any misunderstanding and misjudgement of the two ideas might lead to the unhealthy development of volleyball. Based on the findings of previous studies, we here create a diagram displaying the dialectic relationship of the "popularity" and " enhancement", which demonstrates the evaluating indicators of dialectical relationship between'popularity'and'enhancement'in Chinese volleyball. By Factor Analysis, we have identified six Factors that affact China A-Class Women Volleyball Players, they are: social, coach, growth capacity, harmony, values of life and family factors. The survey of non-professional volleyball players found that personal emotion, environment and skills in playing volleyball are the main factors affecting people's participation in this sport, especially those over the age of 56 (79.3%). The interview done among the athletes and coaches reveals the fact that middle school students participating in playing volleyball are pushed by the motivation to make use of sports for a better development and to, enhance self-esteem and the real reason that discourages people from getting involved in playing volleyball may be the fact that sport does actually not arouse people interest. The coaches interviewed are mostly young and with higher education background, they are energetic and welcome new ideas.Through the analysis of the history of Chinese volleyball, and with the regard of the changes in the number of people taking part in playing volleyball and their levels of playing, we might conclude that the success and failure of Chinese Women's volleyball mirrors the development of "popularity" and"enhancement" the Chinese volleyball. The process and the consequence of the "popularity" and " enhancement"of Chinese volleyball incarnate quantitative and qualitative changes. Coordination of quantity and quality of development should go on to ensure a healthy development. We also suggest that there exists no connection or separation between Mass Sport and competitive sports, the question is that we need to have a better understanding of them. School Physical Education plays a key role for the development of Chinese volleyball, while Community Sport may effectively guarantee a co-development of competitive sport and Mass sport with the Sports clubs playing as an important intermediary role. Good psychosocial and social environment is a prerequisite of Chinese volleyball development. Based on the data gathered from wide areas of the field of Volleyball, we provide constructive suggestions for the "popularity" and"enhancement" of Volleyball.
