Play occupies important position in the field of preschool education. According to previous studies, middle class children engaged in a higher level of play than lower class children did. In order to make up for the deficiency, the paper try to discusses the influence of socioeconmic status on level of children's sociodramatic play.Children from 5 years old to 6 years old of age were interviewed, and their parents completed a questionnaire about the environment of family play. Group differences are then isolated as causes for differences in the level of sociodramatic play. Three conclusions have been drawn according to the literature research and the empirical research. Firstly,There is significant difference at the level of children's sociodramatic play from different SES. Secondly, parent's playfulness, supporting for play and strategy of play guide has a significant difference;Finally, socioeconomic status influence the level of children's sociodramatic play through environment of family play.According to the conclusions, the paper explores reasons for the differences in level of children's sociodramatic play from different SES, then we give several suggestions to government, the parents and kindergarten teachers for optimizing the environment of family play.
