The Research On Leading The Ideological And Political Education Of College Students With The System Of Socialist Core Values

The concept of "the system of socialist core values" is an important proposition, which was publicized for the first time in The Resolutions of the CPC Central Committee on Major Issues Regarding the Building of a Harmonious Socialist Society adopted at the Sixth Plenum of the 16th CPC Central Committee. "We will incorporate the socialist core values into all stages of national education and the entire process of cultural and ethical progress to make them the targets pursued by the people of their own accord." indicated by Hu Jintao to the 17th National Congress. Institution for higher learning is the important field of ideological and political education. It is the crucial task for ideological and political education of college students to enhance the effectiveness of the ideological and political education in colleges and universities by developing the education of socialist core values. According to a great deal of research and literature, the paper mainly discusses how to lead the ideological and political education of college students with the system of socialist core values from various perspectives.The whole chapter is divided into four chapters. The first chapter is about the general theory of socialist core value system and ideological and political education. And the system of socialist core values consists of Marxism, socialism with Chinese characteristics, patriotism, the spirit of reform and innovation and the socialist sense of honor and disgrace.The second chapter is about the fundamental basis and the urgency of leading ideological and socialist education through socialist core value system. In the current situation, college students'thoughts are positive, but there still exist some problems with the changes of international and domestic situation.The third chapter is about the content of leading ideological and socialist education through socialist core value system. It contains:keeping the direction of ideological and political education through adhering to Marxism; grasping the subject of that through fostering a common ideal for socialism with Chinese characteristics; clarifying the main task of that through carrying forward patriotism as the core of the national spirit and the reform and innovation as the core spirit of the times; lay a solid foundation for ideological and political education through implementing the socialist sense of honor and disgrace.The final chapter is about the strategies of leading ideological and socialist education through socialist core value system. They include that play the role of the main channel for ideological and theoretical course; constructing the harmonious campus culture and carry out social practice.
