Aging population in the 21st century the development of globalization, Chinese population has access to the old age population phase. Compared with developed countries, Chinese aging population is an important feature of the aging rural population than the city level. Most of our elderly population live in rural areas, rural older population is a big basis. Aging of our population to some extent is rural population aging. How to deal with increasingly serious in rural areas of aging trend, how to promote the survival and development of rural elderly people, we must face reality.Response to population aging in search for strategic exploration, the "active aging" theory put forward for people to point in the right direction. To promote social participation,older persons in rural areas is "active aging" The basic demand is the reality of an aging rural population should choose. Participation of older persons in social life, on one hand helping the elderly development and utilization of power resources, and promoting resolution of old problems. On the other hand, also help the elderly to meet the demand for social participation, and promote the survival and development of older persons. The scope of the elderly community participation is very extensive, involving in political, economic, social and cultural fields. This paper studies the public participation of rural elderly.In this paper, case study, the elderly in rural villages in Henan S preliminary study of public participation.
