The Commercialized Housing & The Reconstruction Of Community Relations

Since the 80's of the twentieth century, with the rapid development of urbanization, the urban population expands quickly, the city's housing system has been unable to meet the needs of social development, the state conducts a commodification reform of the housing system. This makes the original welfare housing distribution system gradually withdrawing from the city life, more and more city dwellers begin to escape from the "unit community" and buy commercial housing according to their own abilities and preferences. This has brought a boom of commercial housing communities and has greatly improved the urban infrastructure and the dwellers' housing conditions. It brings the city's community relations alienation and leads the arguement on "is the urban communities real exist", arousing the author think about the relations of commercial housing community:on the one hand the original community relations has weakened or broken, on the other the community relations seems alienation in the new commercial housing communities. The author considers that the commercial housing community is not purely a stranger's world through the field survey of H community, life factor, interest factor and occupation factor contribute to the reconstruction of community relations.The reconstruction of community relations'process is divided into two stages:the first stage is the weakening and fracture of the original community relations. Under the influence of the environmental, geographical and occupational factor, the community relations is mainly in the vacuum state; The second stage is the establishment of the H community relations, according to the contacts'frequency and depth between community residents, the author divides this stage into the early period and the stable developmen period. The early period's salient attribute is the interaction frequency and depth among the residents is not high, the relations is skin-deep; At the establishment stage the interaction frequency and depth is high and stable, the depth of interaction has involved the family life field. The post-reconstruction community relations'structure mainly has three types:One is the stable and lasting interactionship between multiple individuals; The other is the stable and lasting interactionship between two individuals; The last one is derived from the former kind of relationship, and is due to the deep and enduring interaction of two residents who make each other's family members have a stable and lasting relationships. There are some characteristics in the process of the reconstruction of H community:First, the reconstruction of community relations is a long-lasting term; Second,the way and the place of the residents'interaction is change with the interaction depth; Third,the the main relations between residents is emotional, and is shallow and skin-deep on the whole; Fourth, the personal relationship between residents has radiation effect which make the family members have a stable-lasting relations; Fifth, life factor is the main promoting factor of the reconstruction of community relations; Sixth, housewives, elderly and children play an important role in the reconstruction of community relations, they are the main link-bridge of community residents.
