The Studies Of The Negative Effects Of Non-mainstream Ideology On The University Students' Outlook On Life And The Studies On The Countermeasures

With the swift advancement of the economic globalization and the development of the reform and opening-up, many non-mainstream thoughts have come into being in the field of ideology, which pose a severe challenge to the mainstream ideology, the system of socialist core values in China. And the universities are the frontier of all kinds of non-mainstream thoughts. In this context, the non-mainstream thoughts have a great impact on the university students'outlook of on life, causing a lot of new changes in the values.This essay consists of three parts.The first part gives a definition of non-mainstream ideology, lists and analyzes four kinds of typical non-mainstream thoughts, i.e., Democratic Socialism, Neoliberalism, Pragmatism and universal values, and reaches the common features.The second part analyses the negative effect of non-main ideology on the university students'outlook on life. The negative effects are that it weakens the university students'belief in Marxism, that it shakes the belief in socialism, that it reduces the social responsibilities of university students, that it strengthens the individualism and the liberalism, that it strengthens the university students'consciousness desire for material welfares to purse money worship, hedonism, ultra-egoism, and that it makes vague the unification of leading values by advocating pursuit of multiplication in values. The causes of these negative effects are that the university students'outlook on life is yet to be mature, that the complex international conditions form the reality conditions, and that education in mainstream ideology is behind the social development.The third part, helps university students get to know the essence of non-mainstream ideology by analyzing the negative effects of non-mainstream ideology on the university students'outlook on life, to insist our mainstream ideology and guide the university students to building positive outlook on life. First, it exposes the hypocrisy of Democratic socialism to guide the university students to making firm fostering the common ideal for socialism with Chinese characteristics. Second, it does away with all fetishes and superstitions to cultivate collective sense of responsibilities on life. Third, it criticizes the secularity of pragmatism to cultivate the attitude towards promoting the truth-seeking and pioneering spirit. Third, it exposes the fraudulence of universal values to guide the university students to forming scientific and reasonable outlook on life value and to train up the university students to be qualified builders and successors of our country.
