Abstract/Summary:
As a emerging learning way,online self-regulated learning is accompanying the booming of China's internet.But there is few research about it in China, most of them are not thorough.Our study considered the domestic educational situation, chose college students as sample, did some research about theirs online self-regulated learning situation, and the follow suggestions were given.After studying the published papers we defined the online self-regulated learning as a process. In this process, learners study online; develop a good online learning environment, and establish goal setting. At the same time, learners can recognize how the learning affects themselves, by selecting some learning strategies, monitoring the learning process, solving the problems actively in the learning process, evaluating the learning purpose and finally making conclusions. This whole process includes 8 sub-processes: preparation, planning, awareness, strategy, implement, feedback , remedy, and conclusions.To study the current situation and impact factors of college student's online self-regulated learning, the research took qualitative research (case study) which is good at examining details, meanwhile the researcher selected 8 college students as respondents, intensively interviewed and observed the respondents regarding the current situation and impact factors. After these factors were coded, categorized and analysed , we found these features of college student's online of self-regulated learning: 1.Tightly connect with traditional self-regulated learning; 2. Apparent lack of preparation; 3. Little planning; 4. Good awareness; 5. Diversity of methods; 6. Lack of implementation; 7. Little feedback; 8. Few remedies;9. Conclusions ignored . Overall, it was concluded the current situation of online self-regulated learning process is not a viable educational learning method. According to the conclusion, we made following suggestions about how to improve this situation: 1.Change the inappropriate notion;2.More instruction about how to study in it;3.Developing better online learning condition.4.Correct guiding and appropriate supporting;5.Encourage more communication;6. Developing good learning habit.
