Construction Of Cultural Carriers Of Ideological And Political Education In Colleges And Universities

With the growing trend of globalization, leaders and departments at all levels pay more attention to ideological and political education, Especially in 2004, when the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China issued On Fruther Strengthening and Improving Ideological and Political Education, ideological and political education seemed to be more important and urgent.Carrier of ideological and political education is the intermediary element of ideologica and potilical education, and the prerequisite and basis for achieving the ideological and political education. Cultural carrier is one of the important forms of carrier of ideological and political education.Research on construction of cultural carrier of ideological and political education in colleges and universities is the needs for strengthening ideological and political education of university students and the survival and development of colleges and universities.Firstly, this paper analyses the current situation and meaning of reaserching the cultural carrier of ideological and political education in colleges and universities, and puts forwards the scientific basis of reasearching the construction of cultural carrier of ideological and political education from both theoretical and practical aspects.Secondly, beginning with the meaning, features, and function of the cultural carrier of ideological and political education, this paper refines the contents, types, characteristics and special function of cultural carrier of ideological and political education in colleges and universities. This paper presents: cultural carrier of ideological and political education in colleges and universities refers that the subject makes full of several carriers of social cultural to put the ideological and political education contents into the cultural constructions of colleges and universities, and transfers some required ideological values, political views and ethics to the objects to educate the college and university teachers and students in ideology so as to achieve the aims at improving the ideological qualities of college and universities teachers and students. This paper concludes the characteristics of cultural carriers of ideological education as following :academic, ideal, times and ideological. From the types, the cultural carrier of ideological education can be divided into school cultural carrier and campus cultural carrier, and the campus cultural carrier can be divided into material cultural carrier, spiritual cultural carrier, institutional cultural carrier, network cultural carrier and activities cultural carries, and so on. The special function of cultural carrier of ideological education can be divided into functions of raising moral, excitation, behavior constraint, political practice and psychological adjustment. Finally, this paper anylyses the problems and causes of constructing the cultural carrier of ideological education, and puts forword the objectives, principles and approaches of the construction of cultural carrier of ideological education in collges and universities. The objectives of construction can be divided into overall goals and specific targets. The principles include the directional principle, systematic principles, targeted principles and innovational principles. The most important part of this paper is to put forward the appraoch of constructing the cultural carrier of ideological education in colleges and universities. Firstly, it is necessary to raise the awareness of construction of cultural carrier of ideological education; Secondly, the protection mechanisms of contructing the cultural carrier of ideological education should be strengthened; Thirdly, the coordinated development among the group of cultural carrier of ideological education should be promoted; Fourthly, the theoretical research on special cultural carrier of idological education should be strengthened; Fifthly, it is necessary to pay attention to the transformation of theoretical results of cultural carrier of ideological education.
