With the development of information technology, the multimedia courseware application is getting more and more widespread in teaching, with no exception of secondary health school. Because of the special age grades of students in health school, the comprehensive and applicative professional courses of medicine they learn are much more difficult, the curriculum of which is various, the content numerous and diverse, the medical terms rich. Thereafter multimedia courseware came into being, It has changed the traditional medical teaching and learning mode, It can create good medical operation environment of medical courses, present the teaching contents much better and play a unique role in motivating various senses of the students, Multimedia courseware application makes the whole class more intuitive, visual, vivid, and provides powerful medical help for secondary students to master the knowledge.This article takes students of 2007 from four classes in Heze Health school, whose major is nursing, and some of their medical teachers as the object of study. It analyses the present situation of multimedia courseware application in secondary health school roundly by literature search, sampling questionnaire survey, attending lectures, interview, summary and so on. And it found the superiority and deficiency of multimedia courseware and made some exploration and research to the improvement of it.Chapter 1 formulates the origin, goal and significance of the research and the present situation and research techniques at home and abroad.Chapter 2 defines the conception of multimedia courseware mentioned in this article and accounts the theory basis of it.In chapter 3, to understand better the present situation of multimedia courseware application in secondary health school, the author takes students, whose major is nursing, and some teachers, who teach nursing, as the object of study, And makes feedback investigation of multimedia courseware application. Afterward the author makes statistical analysis separately to the questionaire and find five disadvantages of the presently used multimedia courseware in health school:the manifestation of multimedia courseware is not enriched; the important and difficult contents are not conspicuous; interaction and communication is lack obviously; the teaching model hasn't changed; the teachers'courseware manufacture technology is poor.Chapter 4 is key point of the article. The author presents strategies to improve the design and application of multimedia courseware in health school by theory, according to the disadvantages.1. For design:Strategies to change the single manifestations of multimedia courseware: materials for courseware making should be richer and more vivid and the styles should be various. Strategies to highlight important and difficult points:the teacher should summarize the teaching content and intensify it in various ways. Strategies to strengthen the communication between teachers and students:add interaction in the courseware, make the students play the dynamic role in study, use heuristic education. Strategies to improve the teachers'courseware making levels:enhance the teaching equipment and multimedia courseware development training to the teachers to improve the overall design capabilities, establish integrated parts library and combine it with practical operation.2. For application:Arrange the teaching objectives reasonably, comb the teaching line and create learning scenarios for students to participate in learning in practice; The teacher should generally control the procedure of the whole lesson in teaching and combine multimedia teaching methods with traditional teaching methods etc.Finally the author makes a multimedia courseware of medicine and tests it in teaching based on the proposed improvement stragegies.Chapter 5. To sum up, the author confirms the article and proposes the deficiency of the research and presents forecast of multimedia courseware application in secondary medical education.
