Status Of Oversea Students In Korean Higher Education Institutions And Research On The Related Policy

Entering into 21st century, with economy globalization being accelerated, higher education internationalization has become an essential trend of the development of world higher education currently which attracts more attentions from the governments. Oversea student education plays a big role in education strategy of different countries which is an important part of higher education internationalization. The percentage of oversea students is one of the key standard of a university internationalization. All the governments and higher education institutions are making efficiency policies and taking steps to develop oversea student education.Korea is our close neighbor and has made great achievements in developing oversea student education, while facing some typical problems. The research on the status, policy, feature and reason of Korean oversea students'higher education will edify the decision- making departments and benefit the developments of ours.The five parts of this paper as followed:Prolegomenon presents the introduction and analysis on the reason of theme electing, the significance of the research, summarization and research methods. Chapter 1 summarizes the development of Korean oversea students and analyzing their scholarship, source, study purpose and study style. Chapter 2 expatiates strategy measure to develop Korea oversea students and analyzing the features. Chapter 3 concludes the reason why Korea makes a success in the strategy to develop oversea students by analyzing policy on oversea students in Korea. Chapter 4 analyses the status and problems of oversea students in China and proposes the related advice.
