Contemporary Western Neo-liberal Ideas' Impaction On The Ideal And Faith Formation Of University Students

The contemporary new western liberalism is a new theoretical system which is established on the basis of inheriting the bourgeois classical liberal thought. All of its theoretical thoughts, ideas and policies are actually made in order to adapt to the change from the national monopoly capitalism to the international monopoly capitalism. Since l970s, the new liberalism theory is extremely popular. Whether it is in the western developed countries or in the developing countries, the new liberalism theory trend almost influence all aspects of people's life, including the nation's policy and economy. The new liberalism seems to form a dominating influence. As the ideology and mainstream western values, neo-liberalism had a significant impact on China's policy, economy and culture, especially on the contemporary college students.College students are the socialist builders and successors, but their world outlook, values, and sense of worth are still unstable. They are vulnerable to the external environment. Because of the negative influence of the new liberalism made on the contemporary university students, some students have defects in pursuiting their life goals and some loss their beliefs. In view of the above situation, we must make deep studies of the contemporary western new liberalism, and enhance the college students' ideal faith education.This paper starts from the practice, carefully analyze and study the contemporary Western new liberalism , as well as the factors which affect the formation of ideal faith. we must correctly evaluate the new western liberalism and objectively analyze the ideological reality of the contemporary students group according to the influence that the contemporary new western liberalism made on the ideals and beliefs of the college students. And then we can make a necessary research of the correlation of the two, which is to enhance the ideals and beliefs education of the college students and to lead and integrate the new liberalism by using the advanced socialist culture.
