As one of the"credit-based"transition programs, Dual Enrollment Program has become the fastest growing and the most wildly developing educational program in recent years. It enables high school students to enroll in college courses and earn college credit as well as high school credit concurrently, thus it is usually viewed as a way to promote a smoother transition between high school and postsecondary education.This paper includes five parts which introduce the general idea of Florida's Dual Enrollment Program, its guarantees, the achievement and features, as well as the issues and the illumination of this program to our China.The first part poses the origin of this study,relevant studies, study methodology, emphases and difficult points, and the definition of some words. The second part mainly introduces the Dual Enrollment Program through its several characters and contents. The third part analyzes the guarantees of Florida Dual Enrollment through three aspects of policy guarantee, organization guarantee and online system guarantee. The fourth part analyzes the features of Florida's Dual Enrollment and discusses the achievement of the program from the perspective of micro and macro. The last part explores the issues of the program, and discusses what we can learn form it to bridge the great divide between high schools and colleges or universities in our education. |
