With the entry of Chinese society from traditional to modern, system of units gradually collapsed, the government functions transformed and the power shifted, community from a closed to an open, began to undertake the of unban grass-roots community's social management and service functions. The emerging community workers are gradually growing and continuously improve their quality and work ability. However, for the modern community development and service needs of community residents, as well as the plight with the modern society and system, community workers have led to the intensification of the level of psychological stress. For the pressure level of both theory and in practice, or are still in the exploratory stage, community workers are relatively new.The paper selects part of the sub-district administrative offices and neighborhood committees to serve as a research group. Based on the relevant stressor and stress management theory, the status of the investigation of the stressor, from the institutional environment, safeguard mechanism, professionalism and other dimensions to ease the psychological pressure of the community workers, in order to enhance their compressive capacity of response. The study consists of four chapters:Chapter 1 Introduction. Described the background and significance of the study, combed the relevant literature, and defined with a few important concepts relevant to the study, illustrated research methods used in this study.Chapter 2 Work-related stress theory. Begins by describing the four theoretical models of job stress and three structure models of stress management. In this basis, analysis the role of community workers and job characteristics, summarizes the five main role of community workers. Then introduce the status and characteristics of community workers from basic situation, psychological outcomes and working conditions three aspects.Chapter 3 Analysis the community workers working pressure. Through the statistics and analysis of data and found that community workers generally feel more work pressure. The job stressors mainly from the occupation itself, one is the workload heavy, role ambiguity and conflict pressure with community functions generalized. Second, low utilization of social support and few feedback bring out the pressure of low professional identity. The last pressure is the limited professional ability lead to low self-efficacy.Chapter 4 Community workers'job stress coping. According to the survey results, improving the system environment, building the education and training mechanisms, establishing the labor protection benefit mechanism, sounding the motivation and restraint mechanisms, enhancing the professionalism of the connotation for the community workers to effectively help the community worker "decompression" and "burden reduction."...
