As an important part of vocational education in our country, secondary vocational education is responsible for training and supplying hundreds of millions of qualified workers with knowledge and skills for the society. Therefore, the personality of secondary vocational school students who are one of valuable human resources can directly decide the future character and quality of the whole nation. Cultivating their harmonious personality can meet not only the needs of their all-round development, but also the demands of building a socialist harmonious society:Since the inception of reform and open up policy, with the establishment of socialist market economic system and social development, secondary vocational school students have been facing an increasingly complex and ever-changing school environment, social environment and home environment. With increasing pressure from learning, employment, interpersonal relationships and so on, there are more and more negative factors affecting their personality development and causing many discordant personality development problems.The harmonious personality development can not be separated from education, and the reading teaching is an important form of education. There are rich personality education materials and unique factors to build students' harmonious personality in secondary vocational Chinese course. In particular, classical literature education which accounts for large proportion of reading is facing unprecedented historic challenges and it takes the responsibility for the important task of humanistic education that includes outstanding cultural heritage, students personality building and Chinese quality cultivation.It is to internalize the cultural achievements of mankind through education process such as knowledge teaching and environment influence into the relatively stable self-cultivation and characters of individuals. It is of great significance in the harmonious personality construction of secondary vocational school students.This article is to focus on this, trying to explore the meaning and practice of harmonious personality construction through the classical literature reading in Chinese reading teaching and provide ways and means for the personality construction of secondary vocational students. At the same time it is to solve some theoretical problems of teaching practice of classical literature reading.In this paper, the introductory part explains the significance of the topic and the body is divided into four parts:Part I:Harmonious Personality and its Characteristics. Clarify the meaning of personality, harmonious personality characteristics and its studies and carry a preliminary analysis of main contents of harmonious personality of secondary vocational school students.Part II:Survey and Analysis of Present Personality of Secondary Vocational School Students. Conduct a survey on the local students characters and analyze the harms and reasons for the formation of lacking in harmony and confirm the necessity and urgency of harmonious personality construction of secondary vocational school studentsPart III:The Meaning of Literary Classics Reading to the Harmonious Personality Construction. Further explain the feasibility of the harmonious personality construction through classic literature reading.Part IV:The Implementation Way to Construct Harmonious Personality Through Classic Literary Reading. This part is to solve the problem from the angles of both in-class reading teaching way and out-class reading teaching way.
