The essence of situated learning is a process in which individual participate true situation and make interaction with practice, others and environment, build capacity of participating practice and raise the level of community, and also a kind of acculturation and acquire specific practice community members'identity. Situation is a place which constructs and applies knowledge. The social attributes of adult determines that their learning cannot be separated from situation. The essence of situated learning accords with the cognitive characteristics of adults such as empirical feature, problem-based, practical and self-directed, focuses the improvement of practical capacity, satisfies the life-long development demand and it is a necessary attempt to improve the quality of adult education. Situated learning is a kind of effective learning approach for adults. The adults'learning determines the teachers' teaching. Therefore, adult teaching should lay emphasis on the work and life of adult and create situation which benefit to the communication and practice to make the adult improve their capacity in real life which knowledge and skills are used through the reform proposals on teaching aims, process and methods. It aims to improve the quality of adult teaching and realize the value adult education.The characteristic of adult situated learning demands teachers to create true and pure situation. However, there exists outstanding problem that adult teaching is separated from the work and life of adults. Reflect the current adult teaching situation, these problems are mainly manifested as follows:the teaching aims regards intelligent as only, the teaching process are separated from the practice of adult life, the teaching methods are mainly injective, the community consciousness in teaching activities is weak, the subjectivity of teaching evaluation is deleted.Adult teaching should take a series of strategies to guide learners to work effectively according to the characteristic of adult situated learning. Firstly, make comprehensive teaching aims; Secondly, lay emphasize the situation creation in teaching process which conclude to change the role of teachers, and by means of multimedia technology to create virtual; Thirdly, use suitable methods and principles; fourthly, choose effective teaching forms such as carrying out cognitive apprenticeship, developing anchored instruction and creating community of practice; Fifthly, adopt scientific teaching evaluation. Teaching evaluation is a dynamic process which focus adult as subjectivity and attention the role of adult in organization contribution involve practical situation. This thesis mainly using literature method and comparative method to enrich research through comparisons and reference on the foundation of consulting a lot of literature data and combine with other educational research results home and aboard.
