The Design And Development Of Learning Toolkit Service Based Of Lifelong Learning Platform

Lifelong learning is a kind of learning style and social activity of the 21st century. With the development of information technology, the construction of lifelong learning technology system becomes a reality and possibility. How to build a lifelong learning platform with flexible functions and multi-information technologies in order to better support learners'lifelong learning activities, turns to be a research hot spots towards international countries.This paper first analysed the present situation of international lifelong learning platforms, including characteristics, learning supported services and personal learning resources, circumstance and tools, the survey also found the drawbacks of those platforms in supporting personal learning. Then analysed the present situation of leaning toolkit services, such as Yahoo Widget and Google Gadget. Toolkit service changed the traditional way to achieve network resources and services, could be able to carry out personal, social, community and cooperative learning mode, therefore support learners' personal learning activities.Based on the former survey and meanwhile rely on "The study and application of U-Learning mode based on lifelong learning" and "The construction of Shanghai lifelong learning net project", this paper studied Shanghai lifelong learning net's personal design concept, under the conceive of circumstance metaphor of toolkit, this paper designed learning toolkit service as another kind of services besides common service and special services. Leaning toolkit services is a set of learning tools, which could meet the requirements of working, learning, communicate, making a plan, sharing and entertaining. Learning toolkit service could be used in desktop, web page and mobile terminals, and therefore support personal lifelong learning. The development of learning toolkit services based of lifelong learning platform mainly used API technologies, this paper built the levels of toolkit and gave several development cases, finally studied the application and evaluation of learning toolkit service, in order to give advice and guideline to the construction of Shanghai lifelong learning system.
