Schools are the main institutions for children's education. They are always in the center of education system. As times go by and change, it is universally believed that education for children can't be done only by schooling. In the background of worldwide education and yet in the process of seeking high quality education, the partnership of family, school and community is becoming a more and more important topic which is widespread public concern about the development and reform of education in the world. The United States of America is leading the world to research on it.The USA has a long history and rich experience on the partnership with school, family and community partnerships. Among the institutions, Johnhopkins built a institution named the Center on School, Family and Community Partnerships. In 1996, this Center developed the National Network of Partnership Schools which was founded in the aid of the research center of the Federal Bureau of Education. Its aim is to guide the leaders of schools, communities and states to cooperate with families and communities and help students improve their abilities to study in order to promote their personal development. Family, School and Community Partnerships should be made full use of so that it can make students successful.Since the NNPS plays a great role in the society and has such high status, my essay is based on the practical model of NNPS and I will explain it in detail and study it carefully. What's more, at the end of my essay, I attempt to introduce some practical models and reveals to our schools, families and communities in our country.My essay is divided into four chapters except the endings, references and postscript.Chapter One is an introduction which includes three parts about questions arise, references blouse and ideas research.Chapter Two aims to frankly introduce the NNPS and its background of success and its present situation.Chapter Three is to study the practical model of the NNPS. It includes the study of the four partners of schools, study districts, states and other organization institutions.Chapter Four is to reveal partnerships in our country about schools, families and communities. It includes a summary and ponderation of the present situation in our country about practical partnerships of school, family and community. In addition,at the end of this essay, I make a suggestion about the practical model of school, family and community partnerships in our country. |
