Personal Information Protection Of College Students

With information society's rapid development, Society's information-dependent is growing, which individual information resource value highlights day by day. At the mean time, personal information is taking on some characteristics such as identifiability and share, which makes governmental agencies, businesses and individuals more convenient and easier, who acquires the ways of collecting, storing, transforming and applications of information. On the other hand, the illegal way of collection, revealing, using making over and revising damage to personal interests. Facing the growing misuse of personal information, we have to put importance on protecting personal information.This thesis focuses on college students on behalf of the Anhui University. Personal information does not refer to all personal information, rather than only identification of individual students and processed information, such as name, student number, ID number, personal assets, personal resume and email address. In order to research the status of protecting personal information of college students, this thesis designs a survey on college student personal information protection, which describes the content and ways of the disclosed information.This thesis introduces the definition of personal information, characteristics of personal information and types of personal information in order to further the other theoretical knowledge. It illustrates the personal information protection questionnaire design related to university student, such as the significance of the survey questionnaire and necessity, and features of design, the process of investigation and so on. This thesis puts emphasis on three aspects:firstly, the status of personal information protection for college students; Secondly, the content of what personal information is often leaked; Third, the ways of which personal information is leaked. To solve these problems, this article obtains the conclusions through the questionnaire survey method. It puts forward practical advice according to problems.How to protect personal information for college student by analyzing the survey is more important than survey itself. So the paper introduces the variety of techniques and tools of personal information protection, such as improving the ability to manage personal information, encrypting information storage devices and methods in detail. The awareness of personal information protection is important too, so the thesis includes it.
