The Italian educationalist Montessori said: Deception is one of the worst defects of mentality aberration. Deception means children telling lies with or without intention, and it is almost inevitable for children to tell lies. So teacher and parents should treat this behavior rightly instead of rebuking or beating without analysis. Honesty is a virtue and of which telling-no-lies is a manifestation. Adults should analyze the reasons behind lies-telling, then deal with each case on its merits and find the right education method when meeting children's lies.Chapter 1 introduces the theoretical and practical importance of study on the lie-telling of children. In chapter 2, author analyzes the present characteristics of children's lie-telling through survey. Chapter 3 discusses the reasons of lie-telling are classified into two groups, one of which including instinct, satisfying need, imitation and children's psychological characteristics is called internal reasons, and one including misuse of prize and punishment, biased social value orientation, adults' influence and environment of the class is called external reasons. Chapter 4 gives recommendations in accordance of different reasons above. The main recommendations are correct use of prize and punishment, building right value concepts for children, setting good examples, building honest environment in class and communicating with children beforehand.
