With the social development and human progress in ideas, education is got more and more attention. Because of enhance women's educational level and the improvement of their social status, ruled China for centuries patriarchal culture has been a serious challenge. However, highly educated women in society and the family role is not subject to the same world as men. Many women reading the universities postgraduate and doctoral students who can not find the ideal of love are anguished. Many female postgraduate students face mate confusion, which become the hot issue in society and letter to be resolved.This study, based on gender theory and mate selection gradient theory uses sociological analysis combined quantitative and qualitative research methods to investigate female university graduate reasons for their spouse in difficulty comprehensively, systematicly, and depthly by the survey and interview of female university graduate who are not reluctant to be a single and have no boyfriends. This study proposes four hypotheses:requirements of their spouse are higher, they mate more difficultly. Female university graduates are introverted, strong and perfectionism would increase the difficulty of their spouse. The traditional marriage pattern restrict spouse of them. Severe employment of female university graduate impacts on their spouse. The empirical results show that the view of spouse of female university, their personality, the traditional marriage pattern and employment rate of them have a significant effect on their mate choice. Therefore, hypotheses in this study are confirmed. |
