A Research On The Development Prospects Of Soft Volleyball Sports In Middle School

Chinese women volleyball team who had gained five champions in a row used to be the pride of Chinese people and led to the national zeal for volleyball. Although the volleyball level began to decline due to various reasons,soft volleyball,which was originated in Japan in the late 80s of the 20e'century and introduced to China in December,1994, is easier to be developed due to its softness, lightness and slower speed. In addition, the rising again of the volleyball level of the women team in the recent years arouse once again people's zeal for volleyball.In a very short time soft volleyball has gained more and more popularity in China, especially among the teenagers at schools who find it both helpful to health and amusing. To better develop the quality education, the State Education Commission introduces soft volleyball into the RE syllabus of middle schools.However, There are a lot of problems in the development of soft volleyball in school after the introduction,it becomes weakened. In order to find out the causes, this paper by using bibliography, questionnaire, interview, logic analysis and statistics, gets an overall investigation to the present condition of soft volleyball in Changsha city. Soft volleyball had been placed on multiple angles of view,from the five dimensions:sport features,competition rules,present condition,soft volleyball culture rules,and its social conditions to analyze comprehensively the development prospects of soft volleyball in high schools.The results show:1. From the characteristics of soft volleyball,the soft volleyball in most schools wear easily, easy to dirty hands when hit the ball and because of the soft,the technology of batting is different. 2. From the rules of soft volleyball,there is not uniform rules and the two rules from China are too much about the hard volleyball and lack of the characteristics of soft volleyball.3. From the present condition of soft volleyball,there is just a very few soft volleyball game and the majority of students in the survey don't know the existence of it,which is related to over-emphasis on culture curriculum,ignoring the introduction of professional teachers and the new sports.4. From the culture of soft volleyball; the high school students'knowledge about soft volleyball have been affected by the original hard volleyball, lead to the participation in soft volleyball is fewer.5. From the social conditions of soft volleyball, because the implementation of the policys supervision is lack of corresponding measures to protect,reduction in corporate profit result, from lagging behind business strategy, so the event sponsored by the corporate become less and less, the attention of the media and even less.The development of soft volleyball in high schools has been an ongoing decline, and even shrink slowly die, its prospects are worrisome.
