A Research On The Heritage And Sustainable Development Of Hunan Folk Martial Arts

Based on data access to a large number of literature, this paper from the perspective of folklore with brave assumptions and careful demonstrations preliminarily discussed the cultural background of the Hunan folk and its development process and the characteristic of his inheritance. Start from the living status and coming crisis, I intend to further discuss the kinds of factors that influence the development of Hunan folk martial art, and based on this, hope to provide some useful advises to the future development of Hunan folk martial art. It also finds out:(1) Hunan folk martial arts originated in the production of human labor by the working masses in order to survive and master the skills of offensive and defensive combat evolved. After several thousands of years of continuous development, gradually, boxing, Menpai flourishing the boom. Martial arts was originally mainly used for military purposes and personal attack and defense, after the Opium War to replace the cold-hot weapons, martial arts come into a fitness sports, its value tends to go more fitness entertainment.(2) The global economic and cultural integration, national traditional sports culture encountered unprecedented challenges, the passing of the basis, suffered repeated violations, shocked and alienated by foreign sports culture, which make Hunan folk martial arts faces the danger of annihilation extinction. (3) The patriarchal inheritance systems of private martial arts not only guarantee the transmission integrity and systematic, but it also greatly limits the development of Hunan folk martial arts, become a civil obstacle in the new era to the development of Hunan martial arts.
