Research On Application Of Ontology Based Knowledge Management In Online Course

As a kind of important learning resources, the role of online course in online education is also becoming increasingly prominent. However, there are many problems in the development of online course. Such as a single course knowledge organization, course knowledge navigation which is lack of non-linear structure, difficulties in finding learning resources and so on.Knowledge management is to accumulate, share, collaborate, interact, apply knowledge. It can make the tacit knowledge dominance. Applying knowledge management to online course can apply the idea and technique of knowledge management to manage the online course knowledge. Through the development of knowledge-sharing technology and organization internal knowledge structure, it can help learners acquire knowledge and promote exchanges and sharing between them.Ontology-based knowledge management can take full advantage of semantic and structural features provided by ontology, it also can apply knowledge engineering techniques and methods.these will improve the shortcomings of lack of course knowledge in the semantic description,difficulties in reuse and sharing knowledge and knowledge retrieval.In this paper, ontology-based knowledge management is applied to the management of knowledge in online course. This can improve the organizational structure of the online course knowledge, and to some extent resolve problems in the current online course. This study mainly includes the following aspects:Firstly, based on the analysis of problems in online course knowledge management, with the idea of knowledge management, combined with features of ontology-based knowledge management, we build ontology-based knowledge management model for online course;Secondly, combined with "Distance Education" course, we researched the ontology-based knowledge representation of "distance education" course, in which we respectively constructed ontology in knowledge of course and learning resource, and made the connection between them;Thirdly, we studied the ontology-based knowledge service for online course, in which we analyzed content and type of the online course knowledge services, and also designed scheme to implement the service functions; Fourthly, we studied the implementation of prototype system of ontology-based knowledge management for online course, in which the design and means to implement ontology-based online course knowledge management system are studied;Fifthly, we evaluated the ontology-based online course knowledge management system, after which we analyzed experimental results, and proposed the ideas to improve the program.
