| Self-regulated learning is an important theme in educational research in the world today, and also it's one of the three forms of learning strongly advocated by China's basic education curriculum reform. As a kind of learning ability, self-regulated learning is not only helpful to improve students'achievement in schools, but also the basis of their life-long learning and growth. Junior high school stage is an important period for the students. They will gradually get rid of the dependence on their teachers and parents. Both physically and psychologically significant changes will occur, and their learning methods will also differ materially from those in the past. So it can be said that the junior high school stage is an important period of transition between the primary stage and the senior high stage. Students need to lay the foundation for the future study in this period, and get ready to continue to develop with the learning consciousness, learning habits, learning ability and other aspects as a preparation.However, the status of junior high school students self-regulated learning are: the apathy to self-regulated learning, the lack of learning methods and strategies, without good study habits and the lack of self-regulated learning time and opportunities. I have conducted a lot of interviews and surveys to find out the mainly affecting factors. They are: the school management, teachers'class teaching methods, teacher-student relationship and family education. As the primary venue for junior high school students to learn is at school, and teachers are the persons who lead the way during their study and growth. So I give effective strategies directly to teachers and school management on training students'self-regulated learning ability. On school management levels: change the idea of educating people, pay more attention to self-regulated learning; whole-school approach to develop students self-regulated learning ability; focus on students'learning when reform the evaluation of class-teaching; reform teacher evaluation methods, implement multiple assessment ; regulate the teaching behavior, concern about the quality and quantity of homework; carry out home-school association, enhance the educational strength; formulate rules and regulations, make implement to the end. For the vast majority of teachers, I suggest: change in education and teaching ideas, and set student-centered awareness; learn from the relevant educational theory, guide the self-regulated learning effectively; reform teaching methods, teach students to learn; develop good study habits, improve self-regulated learning ability; concern about the emotional intelligence of students to tap the internal motivation; reform class-teaching deeply, and build self-efficient classes.To develop junior high school students'self-regulated learning ability is a long process, not an overnight success. In this process, school leaders need to attach great importance, teachers need to work hard and pursuit relentlessly, and also we need the support of parents and their cooperation. The reform of education and teaching methods need to fight against the forces of convention and habit and need the courage to look beyond the future and overstep oneself. |
