The system of college entrance examination is the key in the educational systems, "the music director stick" of the elementary education, and the tool that the higher education selects talented person. The entrance examination for College involves in various beneficial main bodies such as the government, the schools, the students, the guardians and so on, and interacts with the society, politics, the economy, the education, the culture. Although there have been many researches about college entrance examination, their perspectives, methods were lack of originality, their studiers are not very thorough, so that it's difficult to provide the theory for reforming the college entrance examination. This thesis summarizes the evolutional course, the exist matters as well as the reasons of college entrance examination system in New China, and reconsiders the system vicissitude of college entrance examination in the culture.The introductory part of this paper mainly concerns about the reason for the research, the objects of study, and the present situations of study and so on.The first part of the thesis mainly elaborates the vicissitude course of college entrance examination system in New China. The national unified college entrance examination system passes through the vicissitude course, that is, "the fermentation time", "the time of establishing and suffering from setbacks", and "the period of restoring and reforming". The system reform of college entrance examination is walking back and forth between the ideal and the reality, the background of the vicissitude of college entrance examination system is made up by the primitive thinking modes and the values of the Chinese culture.The second part of this thesis mainly involves in the vicissitude mechanism of the college entrance examination system. This part discusses deep the reason for producing the college entrance examination system, and the driving mechanism, methods, way dependence of it.The third part of this paper analyses the admission policy's vicissitude of the college entrance examination in New China culturally. The value vicissitude's tendency, reflected in the course of the policy's vicissitude of University admission in New China, was wholly from the orientation for politics value to the economic value, finally returned the comprehensive orientation which center for education's and person's value.The fourth part mainly researches about the movement systems and contents of college entrance examination. The exam-oriented education, not only one kind of educational idea, phenomenon or educational pattern, but it has become one kind of educational system. It is a kind of important educational resource, and reflects the dissimilation of the college entrance examination system.Last part of the thesis is in view of question and the reason about the college entrance examination system in our country, and proposes that the culture be the factor which the reform of college entrance examination system must be considered, the rationality be the thinking mode of the college entrance examination's culture, fairness and the efficiency be the core value of the college entrance examination's culture, and the thinking modes, the values be sources of the college entrance examination's culture innovation.
