A Comprehensive Evaluation Of The Chinese Women's Basketball Competitive Capability In The 29^th Beijing Olympic Games

The Chinese Women Basketball Team struggled for getting admirable fourth during the Beijing Olympics. However there were still gaps between us and western traditional top teams in view of the whole process.To analyze systematically the gaps of the whole match abilities between Chinese Women Basketball Team and top three in the 2008 Olympics, this thesis adopted methods of literature material, questionnaire, video observation and mathematical statistics, and other researches involved the completion calibers of starting lineups, substitutions and group players in all positions. The main conclusions are following:1,We can study the competetion ability of chiese team from the aspects of the team and the athletes.team competition ability investigation includes the specification classification and the grade assessment.2,Both America and Australia get A level while china and Russia get B plus according to the evaluation system of completion ability in 2008 olympics.3,Expect disproportional team strength there is also a large gap between starting line-ups and substitutions for Chinese team. And abilities for substitution had rooms to improve.4,Disproportional players in all positions in Chinese team involve too few insides, shortage of top players. Guards lead the points in three positions followed by centers and forwards.5,There is the disproportional strength in group players of three positions of Chinese team, by contrast of top three, Chinese guards get relative advantage, and centers get tie, and forwards worst.Suggestions in terms of these conclusions are following:1,Build a personnel training system suitable for Chinese situation as soon as possible, perfect construction of echelon personnel, strengthen the selection and culture of reserve personnel and deploy rationally group players in all positions.2,Strengthen the bond with foreign top teams and enrich substitutions' experience of large events and whole calibers to consolidate our bench depth.3,For depth analysis of the comprehensive competition ability,I suggest that improve the indicators and innovate the evaluation methods.
