Literature Education should be one of the most important aspects in Chinese language education, and especially the teaching of modern literary works should be attached great importance. But the situation in reality is serious deficiencies in the literature education. The teaching of modern literature has been alienated as teaching tools for examinations. On the current junior high school teaching problems of modern literary works and the way out about the plight of the research, we can not only understand the current junior high school stage in modern literature education, but also find some solutions to realistic problems and countermeasures.This paper outlines the background issues to explain the significance of research to define the scope of research questions, discusses the junior secondary level of teaching the importance of modern literary works, through the perspective of modern literary works of the current junior high school teaching status, analysis of the main reasons for existing problems put forward the examination and educational materials for major reform and restructuring some of the ideas. And are mainly from the perspective of the relationship between the classroom and extra-curricular study of how best to carry out works of modern literature teaching junior high school. I respectively from the four major genres of literature to be explained, focusing on some of the novel. This paper seeks to present the teaching of modern literature and learn to play that role.
