Critical thinking, an important premise of innovative thinking, refers to the ability of obtaining a bran-new thinking achievement through estimating the stuff of thought rigorously and inspecting thinking process in precision. The essentiality of critical thinking education has not been generally recognized, and the fostering of critical thinking is also of the relative lack in China's educational activities. The Chinese educational circle, in a long time, neglects that the nature of education is to adapt and to promote development of the society and human beings.In this dissertation, the author, in Chapter one, summarized the critical thinking and posed a general and embedded cognition to the critical thinking from four aspects: its rise, developing, spirit, and essentiality. In Chapter two, the author introduced the critical thinking construction and put forward the premise and qualification of the critical thinking construction in secondary school that much more absolute time and space will be controlled by students themselves so that students have enough courage to question; What's more important, teachers must change their roles and renewal their teaching theories, according to the status in quo of secondary school teaching which means teachers only impart knowledge systematically. The keystone of the dissertation is Chapter three, introducing concrete and practical plans of the critical thinking. In this chapter, the author expatiates on the concrete application through analyzing teaching plans of secondary school from Chinese, math, chemistry, history, English, geography and politics.Since being in the interdisciplinary areas, it is not in-depth that the study of critical thinking and teaching of critical thinking in middle school history education sector. The pertinent academic literature is relatively of insufficiency. In this dissertation, the author expatiates intensively and systematically on the critical thinking and its significance, and its applications in the field of secondary school teaching, expecting to give some suggestions to the development of the teaching in secondary school.
