ICT-CST formulated by UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural) emphasizes that teachers should take information technology into class successfully and use new teaching methods for developing teaching activities. In the process of China Education Informationization, teaching ability of integrating information technology and courses has become the fundamental skill of teachers in middle school and primary school. New curriculum reform requires teachers apply information technology to develop teaching activities, and such ability has become an important factor of influencing effective teaching. In accordance with teaching needs, our country has organized various information technology training, but the training result is not satisfactory because of lacking systematic training contents. Thus the study of training contents has practical significance.Based on the ability criteria of applying information technology from foreign schools and training contents of our country, the thesis studies and analyzes strong and weak points of different criteria and contents, and exposes common points of them respectively. Combining with the experience of what the author acquired by joining project training on training contents of information technology, the thesis puts forward a system of training contents on ability of applying information technology of teachers in middle school and primary school.Then, by making practical use of the system to concrete training in the western schools (ChengGuan District Lanzhou City Gansu Province and linze Country ZhangYe City GanSu Province) and analyzing training results, the thesis proves practicability of the system.Chapter1 explains cause, current situation, purpose, significance and study method of the present study.Chapter2 defines important notions appeared in the thesis and analyzes the ability criteria of applying information technology from foreign schools and training contents of our country, bringing up seven abilities of using information technology.Chapter3 raises a system of training contents on information technology based on literature study and personal practical experience. Training purpose and contents are major points of the system.Chapter4 puts the system into practice to prove the practicability, and perfects the system according to existing problems.Chapter5 concludes the thesis by clarifying related results and perspectives, pointing out the limitation of the present study and addressing questions for further explorations.
