Study On Theories And Methods Of Career Counseling Of College Students In The New Period

Since the reform and opening up, with the development of the China's market economy and the expanding of the enrollment of students in institutions of higher learning , the number of university graduates was the increasing trend year by year and employment situation became increasingly serious.And the reform and development of the employment environment and the employment system, on the one hand, to adapt to the requirements of the socialist market economy, because they meet the needs of graduates to choose and the development personality. On the other hand, it aslo put forward to a higher demand for their own ability and the overall quality that they adapt to the new employment environment and the employment system, so many students were perplexed when they made a choice about employment , such as: where is my suitable space for development? How to come to the fore during many students, to realize my ideals, and to find a stage to show my talents? The emergence of these issues shows that college students are lack of the corresponding understand for their own personality, hobbies, ability when they made a choice about employment,and they also know little about the specific requirements of specific occupations,so lead to they can not find their suitable jobs and result in waste of human resources. Vice Minister of Education Li Weihong in "pioneering and innovative awareness-raising work of the Graduate Employment in the ideological and political education" that efforts to explore the employment of college students to strengthen the ideological and political education in an effective way of career counseling and we must make career counseling into the ideological and political education,and reflect employment-oriented. At the same time, Premier Wen Jiabao pointed out in the Eleventh National People's Congress at the second meeting in March 2009 that we should be promote the employment of college graduates in a prominent position in 2009. This can be seen that employment of China's university students at the present stage are increasingly serious problems with deepen of the international financial crisis and career counseling of college students is an important aspect that we do a good job for employment of college students. We must pay attention to counseling for career development of college students and make them acquire a correct world outlook, outlook on life and values, in order to further promote the development of employment and social harmony. Therefore, further study for theories and methods of career counseling of college students in the new era is essential.This paper used literature, a sampling survey and experience in law to analysis and research. It collect domestic and foreign literature in the field of the results of this study, monographs, literature and data collected by research, comparison and selection, which summarized the status quo and the development trend about the theories and methods of career counseling of college students at present.And it use the sampling survey method to conducted a survey of the status, statistics and analysis for career counseling of college students that four Universities:contain the Xi'an University of Science and Technology, Xi'an Institute of Finance and Economics, Chang'an University, Xi'an University of Architecture and Technology. The survey shows that theories and methods of career counseling of college students in the new era exist the highlight following issues:(1)there is no universal access to career counseling;(2)the work of career counseling is lag in terms of time;(3)career counseling is lack of of a comprehensive education in the content;(4)career counseling is lack of the proper implementation of the system. In view of the above analysis, the impact of factors for that issues including: social environmental factors, higher education and own element of college students. According to the above theoretical analysis and practical research, this paper based on the analyzes that the status quo and characteristics for theories and methods of career counseling of college students of the United States and Hong Kong and the condition of our country to put forward some methods for career counseling of college students in the new era:(1)we must change old ideas and establish a correct concept of career;(2)career counseling that Health-based personalized;(3)career counseling that Experience-based. At the same time, to career counseling of college students can be effectively implemented in the new period, but also put forward to many specific measures to protect:(1)update the concept that the concept of career counseling is people-oriented set, the entire process of comprehensive, coordinated;(2)build a organizational system of career counseling of college students.
