Based on an open-ended questionnaire, overview of former studies and a test of one small sample, a theoretical hypothesis was put forward in this study. An operational definition was given to high school teachers' occupational well-being here. Teachers' occupational well-being is their subjective psychological experience of all aspects in working life and their positive evaluation in cognitive fatigue, working motivation, relationships, health and sense of achievement etc.. The higher evaluation you give, the stronger occupational well-being you feel. Based on this definition, the occupational well-being of high school teacher questionnaire was designed and the reliability and validity were tested out. Then the status and characteristics of the occupational well-being of high school teacher was investigated through the formal questionnaire. Besides, the relationships between personal and organizational resources and occupational well-being of high school teacher in the time of 6 months were analyzed by using multivariable cross-lagged regression. The main results of this study are as follows:(1) The self-made occupational well-being of high school teacher questionnaire contains 18 items and 5 dimensions including cognitive fatigue, working motivation, relationships, health and sense of achievement. 4 items included in the dimension of cognitive fatigue, 4 items included in the dimension of working motivation, 3 items included in the dimension of relationships, 4 items included in the dimension of health and 3 items included in the dimension of sense of achievement.(2) The self-made questionnaire had high reliability and fair validity. The results show the internal consistency reliability (Cronbach's alphas) is .809 and half-split reliability is .806. The analysis of dimension-questionnaire shows that subscales have good consistency with the questionnaire. The result of exploratory factor analysis indicates the questionnaire has good validity of the concept. The test of criterion sample indicates empirical validity arrives at established standard.(3) The occupational well-being level of high school teachers was between generally and comparatively happy.(4) A total of 235 high school teachers were measured repeatedly by using cross-lagged longitudinal design. Correlation analysis showed that the correlation between personal resources and occupational well-being was consistent at the same time. Regression analysis indicated that occupational well-being could not predict personal resources, but personal resources can significantly predict occupational well-being after controlling the effect of depression. So, personal resource is the cause of occupational well-being.(5) Organizational resources could not predict occupational well-being, and occupational well-being also could not predict organizational resources. So, no cause and effect was found between organizational resources and occupational well-being.Finally, the creation of theory, methods, subjective inclination of encoding, and appropriateness of sampling were discussed to help the follow-up study.
