Our Country's Trade In Educational Service Developmental Strategy Within GATS

Along with the global service trade speedy development, the trade in educational service also steps the speedway along with it. The western developed country uses its inherent superiority, occupied the main status in the global trade in education service, some non-traditional powerful nation also fully displays their own superiority in trade in educational service and realized their own purpose. Our country always have large importation in educational service and the exportation competitive power is not strong, this causes our country's competitive power is not so strong in trade in educational service in international world. This will affect our country "soft strength", in the long run, this also will affect the development of education and economy of our country .Therefore study the trade in educational service of our country not only to increase the exportation of educational service in the short term, but also can strengthen our country's competitive power in the long term. That means lot to our country. The author thought studies the development of trade in educational service of our country, may be help us to found the superior and inferiority in educational service of our country, thus enhance the international competitive in educational service of our country. This article attempts to find out the superior and inferiority of our country's trade in educational service through applies Michael port's theory and quantitative analysis.Chapter one is a full-view of the thesis. It introduces the developments of international trade in educational service competition, and makes some comments on diversified theories and their points of views.Chapter two includes two parts. One is content of trade in educational service within GATS, including the concept of trade in educational service, the basic category, basic principle and so on. The other is the theory of the trade in educational service, including theory of comparative advantage,theory of economic integration,theory of new institutional economy,competitive advantages of nations.Chapter there is about current situation of trade in educational service of our country, include export and import. This chapter uses the massive data to describe the present situation of trade in educational service of our country.Chapter four use International market percentage,Trade Special Coefficient,Revealed Comparative Advantage Index to analyze the trade in educational service of our country, thus we have direct-viewing on international competitive of our country's trade in education service. Then, the author analysis the impact on our country's economy and technical which the trade in education service caused. Combined with the theoretical analysis and our country's real situations, chapter five get some conclusions and propose some countermeasures and some suggestions.
