Chemistry as a practical and central subject has long been the basis of the natural science progress. All the developments in chemistry must strongly depend on that of the chemical experiments. Considering the current status of the chemical experiments education in Inner Mongolia and other areas in China, based on the extensive survey of Chemistry Curriculum Standards and textbook for Senior High School, the author did some preliminary researches on the chemical experiment section in the new curriculum through analyzing large amount of references and performing experiments. This research consists of six chapters as follows. The introduction dissertates upon the aim and significance of this research and the current situation in China especially in Inner Mongolia. In Chapter I, the author provides theoretical evidences of the experiments research in new courses of chemistry for senior high school students according to the characteristics of the experiments and the changes of teaching modes.Chapter II The author presents new characteristics and functions of chemical experiments in the new course in detail by comparing some experiments in present and new course.Chapter III The author elaborates the designs for experimental goals, contents and modes of chemical experiments in the new course followed by some examples in teaching process.Chapter IV The author expatiates on the design for evaluation of chemical experiments in the new course. An effective evaluation method for explorative teaching was put forward and manifested by comparison between two experimental classes.Chapter V The author summaries this research and look forward the future research on this subject. From the practice of explorative teaching method, we can find that we can arouse students' interests, enhance their ability of exploring and flexibility, and improve their thinking mode, study ways and habits. Therefore, they have made great progress in their chemical study. At the same time, teachers' exprative teaching ability has been improved.
