Multimedia computer-assisted instruction (CAI) is a important means of modern education for information society. Full-time compulsory education"chemistry curriculum standards"(experimental version) advocate diversified learning approaches focusing on scientific-inquiry. However, the most Mongolian national schools which are scattered and poorly-equipped can not establish the standard chemical laboratory to satisfy the new curriculum requests. And many schools can not complete the majority of exploring experiments required by the new standards. In recent years, in order to meet the new curriculum demand for multimedia teaching courses, the government offers those schools advanced multimedia teaching equipment, which has greatly improved the teaching conditions in these schools. So exploring Mongolian chemical CAI courseware in junior school can be used as one of substitute or supplement ways for the experiments that are difficult to complete in the real condition. Nowadays, the research for development and practice of such courseware is still in the blank. In order to overcome those difficulties mentioned above and improve the quality of chemistry education in Mongolian schools, the author did some research on the development and teaching practice of inquiry Mongolian chemical CAI courseware in junior school. In this paper, there are two major studies. The first one is to develop 6 sets of Inquiry Mongolian chemical CAI courseware. It described the principles of designing the script of CAI courseware and the script cases. It was also demonstrated the structures, operating characteristics and how to collect the materials. In addition, it included some designing instructions and courseware cases. In the second study, the author selected 230 students in Huhhot Mongolian school and Yao Lin Mao Du junior high school, Kezuozhong Banner, Tongliao City. 6 teaching experiments on these coursewares were carried on later and the results were analyzed.Through the statistical analysis of the experiment results, It was found that students of experimental class performed better than those of comparative class in answering inquiry questions, and there were significant differences, and that the grade of experimental class were slightly higher than that of comparative class in response to general questions while there were no significant differences. The exploring Mongolian chemical CAI courseware in junior School can help students find out problems and cultivate their inquiry ability. Thus, it can activate their autonomous learning motivation and trigger their interest of chemistry learning, which may cultivate their creative way of thinking and improve Mongolian students'learning efficiency in class. In class, teachers should use the real demonstration experiment combining with CAI courseware. At the same time, also found in experiments inquiry chemical Mongolia middle school version of the embodiment of the superiority of CAI courseware with the use of teachers is closely related to familiarity with the courseware.
