As a tool of communication, the application of QQ has exceeded the initial basic location of of palying and chatting, and gradually permeate all aspects of people's work, learning and life. QQ is imperceptibly changing people's working and living style. It has been widely used in education, especially in distance education. This thesis analyzes massive documents and research papers related to QQ, and summarizes the main forms in distance education, grades as well as fields involving in application. Concerning that, the thesis inquires several learning methods based on QQ. QQ has its obvious advantages in education application; however, a series of problems appear in the course of applicaion. This article puts forward some suggestions to these problems.QQ applied in education belongs to education communication theory in microscopic level. It is a kind of complex communication, including intrapersonal communication, interpersonal communication, organizational communication, mass communication and internet media communication. The thesis puts forward a set of communication pattern for QQ applied in distance education, and also interprets many communication phenomena in combination of relevant communication theory. In the process of analysis of QQ communication, some enlightenment has been abtained. The following conclusions have been drawn after combing and summarizing. The QQ communication contents have strange reflux phenomenon; Using QQ to communicate and discuss is a backwash of "Spiral of Silence" theory; The evolution path of QQ non-verbal symbols reflects the return of interpersonal communication.This paper totally consists of five chapters:Chapter I presents the significance and the methods applied in this paper. It also points out the research questions and creativity.Chapter II, with content analysis method,it mainly focuses on the major applications of QQ in educaiton, sums up the main applying forms and features in teaching, and the reflection on a series of issues in the educational application.Chapter III discusses some characteristics of QQ in teaching application,attempts to raising a set of communication pattern from the perspective of the mass communication.Chapter IV describs some inspirations, and compared QQ with other network interactive tools BBS/BLOG/WIKI, and summarizes its characteristics in stylistic features, communication features and main functions.Chapter V is the conclusion. It also illustrates the contribution and shortage of this research.
