Since World War II, religious revival in the world has caused wide public concern of religious issue. Religion research is always on the periphery, Islam has been especially ignored for too long. In recent years, Chinese Islam's culture renaissance begin in the context of world religious revival, Religious consciousness of Muslims has been reinforced remarkably, and Islamic knowledge learning organizations emerge in some cities.Taking Xi'an's Islamic knowledge learning organizations for instance, this study explored the course of religious belief regression of Chinese Muslim undergraduates.Religious belief regression of Muslim undergraduates was not a single event, or it was not due to a single cause. The regression was a kind of course, so we must not only sort out the whole changing process, but also make sure results and appearances of belief regression.By means of empirical investigation, this study anylizesdthe cause of belief regression, the factors which influence the course, the complicated mental changing process which they go through. Therefore, it describes generally the course of belief regression and the religious psychological state of Muslim undergraduates. The results from the present investigation suggested:(1) religious belief regression of Muslim undergraduates was a caurse of rational choice;(2) religious belief regression of Muslim undergraduates was a course of religious convert, religious identification and symbol boundary's construction;(3) religious belief regression of Muslim undergraduates was not a single event, which is due to interaction of many factors.(4) the relationship between religious belief regression of Muslim undergraduates and influencing factors was continuous dialectical.
